Who came back -- someone came back from London School of Business and Finance to help.
Who left -- someone left to attend medical school at Harvard, sent by goverment.
Not a single one was living under Japanese rule, those who couldn't fight all fled to Sichuan from all over China, those who could fight were all in the army.
Very strong spirit, I strongly doubt that I have that kind of spirit that was common in that circle of friends and relatives. Regression to mean?
