Now, there are two additional issues for to consider, and I'll gladly go through them if anyone wishes in follow-up posts.
The first is the fact that UniWB works best when combined with using Adobe RGB as the camera's color space (it makes the histograms read most accurately), AND using completely flat (scene-referred) camera settings. This means using a neutral setting with a flat tone curve (which must be generated using something like the Nikon Picture Control Utility and imported into the camera) and all settings (contrast, saturation, sharpness, etc) set to zero.
The second is that your images will have a horrible greenish cast and you'll need to use a gray card to re-establish the proper WB in PP in ACR or CNX or whatever. If you've used the scene-referred settings described above, your images will be quite flat, and will clearly need PP for the appropriate tonal and color adjustments.
