8月13日下午，陳光誠等數位維權律師和活動人士在白宮前的拉法耶特廣場（Lafayette Square）舉行集會，呼吁美國政府幫助營救被中共強制失蹤六年的著名人權律師高智晟。
与會人士表示，中共是魔鬼，是人類的公敵﹔消滅共產党， 是每個人的天職。
高智晟因長期為弱勢群体發聲，2006年遭中共吊銷律師執照﹔判刑三年，緩刑執行﹔2007年8月13日，高智晟被“強制失蹤”﹔2014年出獄，遭持續軟禁﹔2017年8月, 高智晟再次失蹤，至今下落不明。
高智晟曾為法輪功受迫害冤案，向中共領導人上書，發表三封公幵信﹔并公幵退出中國共產党。
陳光誠：高智晟失蹤案是照妖鏡 滅共是每個人的天職
陳光誠律師在采訪中告訴大紀元和新唐人：“高智晟律師被失蹤六年，這本身是一個照妖鏡。不僅照出了中共邪惡政權踐踏中國人權的事實，（而且）清楚地告訴全世界在共產專制之下沒有法治。”
“我們的沉默衹會讓中共變本加厲。”“我們衹有公幵地在全球揭露中共的罪惡，讓世界認識這個魔鬼政權。這是最重要的。”
他表示，“共產党，是人類的公敵。消滅共產党，是每個人不可推卸的責任，是每個人的天職。”
“我們一起要求還高智晟自由，要求世界站在中國人民一邊，思考怎么樣清除這樣一個綁架國家、挾持政府、奴役中國人民的邪惡政權。”
“我覺得這個是非常非常必要的，已經到了非做不可的時侯了。”
90后：共產党衹能被推翻 不可能革新
中國民主党委員會華盛頓主席倪宇凡在發言中說，“作為新生代，我是一個90后。我（在中國所）看到的和我所接受到的教育，都是洗腦的，甚至是欺騙的。”
“我希望全世界所有的華人，還有民主人士，都要有一個清醒的認知──共產党是不可能自我革新的，也是不可能有人性的。”
“我們衹有推翻它這個世紀毒瘤、邪惡的政權，我們生活在這個地球上的每一個人，才能夠身心健康，生命健康，繼續活下去。”

陳建剛：中共恐懼謊言曝光
原大陸律師陳建剛告訴大紀元，中共之所以讓高智晟強制失蹤這么多年，拒絕用審判的形式來審理高律師一案，就是因為恐懼其“謊言在高律師的案件當中，被更深刻地揭露。” “（中共）就把法律的這种謊言的外衣完全丟掉，直接使用恐怖暴力手段。”
“中共統治這個國家，最本質依靠的是謊言和暴力。”
“中共暴力的本性永遠不可能改變，直到它最終滅亡。”他說。
向高智晟學習 戰斗到底
和高智晟有過數次交集的人權活動人士郭寶胜鼓勵大家要學習高智晟，以持之以恆的精神對抗邪惡中共，他說，“我相信高先生現在還是非常有勇气地在活著。他一定會戰斗到底。”
中國民主党全國委員會共同主席王軍濤說，“高智晟律師為了維護中國人的人權，為了給中國一個公正的社會，付出了沉重的代价。”
“希望高先生早日恢复自由，希望高先生心中的夢想──一個自由的、正義的、人權的中國，早日在中國實現。”
國際社會營救高智晟的呼聲，令中共恐懼。
陳光誠透露，中共最近打電話威脅一位中國留學生， 以阻撓美國天主教大學人權中心公幵高智晟妻子耿和呼吁營救她丈夫的一個短視頻。
