据《國會山》的消息，哈佛CAPS-哈里斯民意調查（Harvard CAPSHarris Poll）6月底在登記選民中進行的一項最新民調結果顯示，71%的美國人認為拜登不應該連任，衹有29%認為他應該參加2024大選競選連任。
在認為拜登不應該再去競選連任的人中，45%認為拜登是一位糟糕的總統，約三分之一認為他太老了，約四分之一認為到了改變的時候了。拜登現在79歲，若在2024年再去競選連任，那時他就81歲了。
哈佛CAPS-哈里斯民意調查的聯合主任馬克．佩恩（Mark Penn）說：“拜登總統可能想再次競選，但選民對他第二個任期的想法說‘不’，批評了他作為總統所做的工作。甚至衹有30%的民主党人會在民主党總統初選中投票給他。”
