我原來一直以為，最壞的中國人在中國，但多次來到台灣，並在美國遠距離觀察之後，才發現最壞的中國人在台灣！我在電視上說了這話之後，有朋友問道，難道還有比毛澤東更壞的中國人嗎？我說，毛澤東之類是殺人惡魔，不在「人」的討論範疇。而且，我說的「中國人」不限定居住地，而是指「自我認定」是中國人的人。
我所指的最壞的一類人，主要是指文人，而且主要不是指意識形態、思想觀點上的敵人，而是指人品。思想觀點不同屬正常，更何況思想觀點誰都可能往不同的方向改變。但人品、德行方面的邪門，幾乎是無可救藥的。
無論政治傾向如何，在正常人那裡，一些最基本的價值觀是共識的，比如不能撒謊、欺騙、不擇手段地損人利己等。
而邪門的一類人，頭腦裡是沒有這些基本上概念的。比如陳文茜，在台灣總統大選這麼嚴肅、重大的問題上，她就膽敢編造「奇美小護士」的謊言，膽敢在眾目睽睽之下，臉不變、心不跳地欺騙整個世界！而且，更令人目瞪口呆的是，事後，她竟然很自得地在中國炫耀她這一「壯舉」。同樣，她刻意地弄一個絕不讓台灣人民公投成功的「鳥籠公投法」，事後也是洋洋自得地對中國媒體說，「我表面上给你這個東西，但後面都是假的。」竟全然不知恥地招搖自己欺騙和踐踏台灣人民尊嚴的惡行。連共產黨、國民黨都不敢公開這麼無恥吧？
坦率地說，在經歷了共產殘酷、文革惡鬥的中國文人中，我都不知道有誰敢這麼理直氣壯地撒謊，尤其是就公共事務。當然很多人撒過謊，甚至彌天大謊，但撒謊者都是強調他們說的是真話，而絕不敢理直氣壯地為自己的謊言而得意，尤其是公開地、在公共媒體上得意地直言：看我的謊撒得多妙！陳文茜居然連撒謊是惡行都不知道！如果知道，可以無恥到如此地步，難道不是最惡質的一類人嗎？
再比如躲在陰暗角落、用人間最刻毒語言罵台灣人的郭冠英（范藍欽）。即使針對某一個他個人的仇敵，那都過分到下三流的小地痞程度，而對一個種族，那就是不可原諒的邪惡！全世界哪裡都有歧視，但如此惡毒、囂張地歧視、侮辱一個民族的，大概只有希特勒能跟他比。看郭冠英那些毒蝎子般的文字，我一絲一毫都不懷疑，他要是有希特勒那種權力，會把台灣人全都送進毒氣室。郭冠英的下作，遠超過我所知道的任何中國文人。如果他也可以被算在人的範疇，難道不是最陰毒的一類嗎？
在中國，有無數無恥的、給獨裁政權護航的文化人，但在21世紀，你找不出任何一個文人，像李敖那樣，贊揚共產主義，推崇毛澤東，歌頌鄧小平，給六四屠殺辯護，甚至說要讓共產黨再活一千年。這個以反國民黨專制而起家（今天卻瘋狂反民主台灣、反自由美國）、這個當下還裝模作樣給胡適做雕像的風頭狂，真相信他自己的瘋言瘋語嗎？他是一個為贏得更多民族主義憤青粉絲（背後是金錢利益）而不擇手段的典型。這個在台灣立法院展覽他身體的醜陋、去中國給獨裁者招搖靈魂醜陋的文痞，在中國幾千年的歷史上也找不到第二個。李敖高喊了一輩子他是「第一」，沒錯，「文壇邪門之冠」非他莫屬。
本書在痛斥一些醜陋的文化人、政客的同時，也推崇的了一些我個人接觸到的、代表正向價值的人物。在台灣，雖然有了選舉層面的民主制度，但在司法領域，在言論和新聞自由領域，在整個社會文化中，黨國專制時代的遺毒仍滲透社會的每一個角落，通向一個正常、完善的民主國家之路仍步履艱難。許多英雄奮鬥了，倒下了，無數優秀的個人仍在不懈地努力著。中華文化總習慣通過讚美君王來灌輸大一統、群體主義的思維，西方文化則習慣通過謳歌優秀的個人來推崇個人主義的價值。個人主義價值的核心是個體自由、個體權利、個體尊嚴。在「華人社會」這個概念下，台灣是一個「個體」，為了這個「個體」的權利和尊嚴而奮鬥的「個人」們，應該成為年輕人的榜樣。
本書也通過對某些人與事，以及一些重大案例的分析，來探討其背後在制度、法律和文化層面的價值等問題。
最後，由於我在本書中痛批了一些文化界和政界的所謂名人，有朋友警告，要小心訴棍李敖、缺德的施明德，還有那個不斷贏官司的毒夫馬英九等，來打誹謗官司。所以我在這裡特別聲明，本書的所有文章，我都文責自負，跟前衛出版社沒有關係。如果他們有誰要跟我打誹謗官司，我不僅將奉陪到底，而且宣告：他打一個誹謗官司，我一定至少再寫十篇痛斥他，看他的官司打的快，還是我文章寫的快。

Cao Changqing : The Worst Chinese in Taiwan
I always thought that the worst Chinese were in China, but after visiting Taiwan many times and observing from a distance in the United States, I found out that the worst Chinese were in Taiwan! After I said this on TV, a friend asked, is there any Chinese worse than Mao Zedong? I said that Mao Zedong and the like are murderous demons and are not in the discussion of "people". Also, when I say "Chinese", I do not limit the place of residence, but refer to people who "self-identify" as Chinese.
The worst type of people I am referring to mainly refers to literati, and mainly refers not to enemies in terms of ideology and ideological viewpoints, but to character. It is normal to have different ideas and opinions, not to mention that everyone may change in different directions. But the evil in terms of character and virtue is almost hopeless.
Regardless of political inclinations, normal people agree on some of the most basic values, such as not lying, cheating, and unscrupulously harming others and benefiting themselves.
And a class of people of the evil sect, do not have these basic concepts in their minds. For example, Chen Wenqian, on such a serious and important issue as Taiwan's presidential election, she dared to fabricate a lie of "Chi Mei Little Nurse", and dared to deceive the whole world with her face unchanged and her heart not beating in front of everyone! What's more, what is even more astounding is that afterward, she was so content to show off her "feat" in China. In the same way, she deliberately created a "birdcage referendum law" that would never allow the Taiwanese people to vote successfully. Afterwards, she also complacently said to the Chinese media, "I gave you this thing on the surface, but the back is all fake." Shamelessly flaunting its vicious deeds of deceiving and trampling on the dignity of the Taiwanese people. Even the Communist Party and the Kuomintang don't dare to be so shameless in public, right?
Frankly speaking, among the Chinese literati who have experienced the brutality of the Communist Party and the fierce battles of the Cultural Revolution, I do not know anyone who dares to lie so confidently, especially in public affairs. Of course, many people have lied and even lied, but liars always emphasize that they are telling the truth, and never dare to be proud of their lies, especially publicly and proudly in public media: Look at me What a wonderful lie! Chen Wenqian doesn't even know that lying is evil! If you know, you can be so shameless, isn't it the most vicious kind of person?
Another example is Guo Guanying (Fan Lanqin), who hides in a dark corner and scolds Taiwanese with the most vicious language in the world. Even for a certain personal enemy, it would be too much to the level of a lowly ruffian, and for a race, it would be unforgivable evil! There is discrimination everywhere in the world, but in such a vicious and arrogant way of discriminating against and insulting a nation, probably only Hitler can compare with him. Looking at Guo Guanying's scorpion-like words, I have no doubt that if he had the power of Hitler, he would send all Taiwanese into the gas chamber. Guo Guanying's next work is far more than any Chinese literati I know. If he can also be counted in the category of people, isn't it the most sinister category?
In China, there are countless shameless literati who escort the dictatorship, but in the 21st century, you cannot find any literati who, like Li Ao, praised communism, praised Mao Zedong, praised Deng Xiaoping, defended the June 4 massacre, and even Said to let the Communist Party live another thousand years. This man who started his career as an anti-KMT dictatorship (but today is madly anti-democratic Taiwan and an anti-free America), who is still pretending to make a statue of Hu Shi, really believe his own madness? He is a typical example of doing whatever it takes to win more nationalist angry youth fans (with financial interests behind them). This ruffian who exhibited his ugliness in Taiwan's Legislative Yuan and went to China to show off his ugliness to the dictator cannot find another in China's thousands of years of history. Li Ao shouted that he was "number one" all his life. That's right, "the crown of evil in the literary world" must be his.
While denouncing some ugly cultural people and politicians, this book also praises some people I have come into contact with who represent positive values. In Taiwan, although there is a democratic system at the electoral level, in the judicial field, in the field of freedom of speech and the press, and in the entire social culture, the legacy of the era of party-state autocracy still permeates every corner of society, leading to a normal and perfect society. The road to democracy remains arduous. Many heroes have fought and fallen, and countless outstanding individuals are still working tirelessly. Chinese culture is accustomed to instilling the idea of unity and groupism by praising the king, while Western culture is accustomed to extol the value of individualism by extolling outstanding individuals. The core of individualistic value is individual freedom, individual rights, and individual dignity. Under the concept of "Chinese society", Taiwan is an "individual", and "individuals" who fight for the rights and dignity of this "individual" should be role models for young people.
This book also explores the issues of value at the institutional, legal and cultural levels behind it through the analysis of some people and events, as well as some major cases.
Finally, because I have criticized some so-called celebrities in the cultural and political circles in this book, some friends warned me to be careful to file defamation lawsuits against Li Ao, the immoral Shi Mingde, and the drug man Ma Ying-jeou, who keeps winning lawsuits. Therefore, I specifically declare here that all the articles in this book are my own responsibility and have nothing to do with the avant-garde publishing house.
